On February 24, Consul Stanger greeted U.S. University Students at the semi-annual “Welcome to Grenoble” event hosted by representatives of the French-US Grenoble Association and University of Grenoble. The students on their “semester abroad”, heard the Consul discuss the role of APP Lyon in the region concerning consular affairs, public affairs, reporting, and daily activities. He reminded the students that they are each American Ambassadors in their own right and they should take this opportunity to represent the U.S. in a good manner and also advised them to seize the moment and enjoy their time in the region. Besides completing their daily studies and homework, many of these U.S. students volunteer their time to work at the American Corner Grenoble where they advise French students interested in studying and working in the U.S.
