On April 13, 2015, Public Affairs Specialist Eva Prévost participated in the screening of the film Selma that the U.S. Consulate for Western France co-organized with the Gaumont cinema in Rennes, and the local chapter of “SOS Racisme” association. Prevost highlighted the 50th anniversary of the march between Selma and Montgomery. She also introduced the 4-minute video of Congressman John Lewis, a prominent character in the film, and underscored the importance of the civil rights movement for the United States, and the non-violent approach defended by Dr. Martin Luther King and Congressman Lewis. Following the screening, SOS Racisme and APP Rennes’ guest of honor Anthony Larson, Dean of the Language Faculty at Rennes 2 University, led a discussion with the audience,
