Celebrating Europe Day

On Europe Day, May 9, U.S. Consul General Amy Westling joined Deputy Mayor of Nancy Mr. Jean-Michel Berlemont in a tour of the American Library in Nancy in Lorraine, France.  She met students, viewed their creative drawings depicting European Union member states on the theme of “The City of Nancy’s European May,” and gave a talk to guests of the Friends of the American Library Association on the official U.S. presence and its history in eastern France.  The American Library in Nancy houses over 27,000 English language books and is a public/private partnership supported by the city and the urban community of Nancy, the University of Lorraine, Friends of the American Library Association, and private donations.
