Consulate General Strasbourg welcomed Michael Kabbaz, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student
Success at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio to Strasbourg March 17 to talk about the U.S. higher education system and demystify the college and university application process for students and parents. Hitting several cities in Western Europe through a collaboration between his university, the College Board, and the State Department, Kabbaz spoke to students at two high schools in Strasbourg with English language curricula, and to interested American and French parents at the Consul General’s residence. Drawing on his expertise, Kabbaz explained and put in context higher education entrance requirements, the importance of balancing students’ grades with extracurricular activities, and specifics of college costs and available financial aid.
