Commemorative Ceremony at the Normandy American Cemetery

Consul Bethea and Public Affairs Specialist Prevost represented the U.S. Embassy at a commemorative ceremony organized by the Saint-Germain-en-Laye – Winchester, MA sister city committee at the Normandy American Cemetery. Consul Bethea was a guest speaker at the commemoration, which honored the U.S. Veterans who had sacrificed their lives 70 years ago in Normandy. Also in attendance was the Mayor of Saint-Germain-en-Laye , Emmanuel Lamy, and the official representative from Winchester Mr. Howard, as well as 50 representatives from both cities. The event was organized by sister city committee president Marc Miloutinovitch. The commemoration ended with the flag lowering ceremony orchestrated by the Normandy American Cemetery Superintendent.
