Demonstration Alert – U.S. Embassy Paris, France

Location: Paris, Place de la Republique.
Event: Overlapping demonstrations with a potential for disruption are expected to take place on Saturday, May 22, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The first protest is by the Pan-African diaspora against the France-Afrique summit. A second protest, in support of Palestine, is expected to begin at 3:00 p.m., partway through the first protest. Additional demonstrations in other major cities in France are also planned.
Actions to Take:
· Avoid the areas of the demonstrations
· Exercise caution if in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests
· Monitor local media for updates
· Be aware of your surroundings
· Keep a low profile
