Demonstration Alert – U.S. Embassy Paris, France (September 10, 2021)

Location:  Paris, multiple locations

Event:  Potential disruptions or clashes with police instigated by extremist groups infiltrating otherwise peaceful protests against the health pass are possible this Saturday, September 11:

  • Paris
    • 10:00 assembly at Place Wagram, departure at 1:00 p.m. towards Conseil d’Etat (Place du Palais Royal) until 6:00 p.m.
    • Noon assembly at Cochin Hospital (14th), departure at 1:30 p.m. towards Conseil d’Etat (Place du Palais Royal) until 6:00 p.m.
    • 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. from  Place Pierre Laroque (7th) – Ministere de la Sante to Place Denfert Rochereau.

Multiple other demonstrations against are expected throughout France on Saturday.

Actions to Take:

  • Avoid the areas of the demonstrations
  • Exercise caution if in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests
  • Monitor local media for updates and public transport disruptions
  • Be aware of your surroundings
  • Keep a low profile
