Demonstration and Security Alert – U.S. Embassy Paris, France (April 29, 2022)

Locations:   Demonstrations and spontaneous gatherings throughout France.

Event:  May 1st (“May Day” or “Labor Day”) is often used as a day for protests in France. Some groups have called the public to join their protests and create public order disturbances. In the past, some of these demonstrations have involved confrontation with law enforcement in Paris, Rennes, and Lyon, leading to violence and destruction of property. Please pay attention to your local news regarding possible violence in your area and avoid protest areas if possible.
