Mark Ginsberg, a former Senior Executive and Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy who is currently working as a consultant on green buildings around the world, spoke on March 19 with engineering and architectural students and architects at Strasbourg’s Institute of Applied Sciences (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées, or INSA). His talk addressed issues of energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change, and “zero energy” buildings. Mr. Ginsberg also met with Jean-Luc Sadorge, the General Director of the Energivie cluster located in Strasbourg. Energivie is officially recognized by the French government to develop positive energy solutions for buildings and Sadorge wants to develop the cluster’s international activities.
