Consul General Reade with Benjamin Franklin Candidates

Consul General Evan G. Reade traveled to Fameck in Lorraine to meet with students at the Saint Exupéry high school.  While most of the time was spent interviewing eight fabulous candidates for the Bejamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute, he also talked to senior high school students about diplomacy, foreign policy and important domestic issues in the United States.

Consul General Reade stressed the importance of school exchanges and foreign travel.  His first trip overseas was to the former Soviet Union and he told the students that the trip was a real eye-opener, and one of the reasons he chose to be a career diplomat.

The Consulate General would like to extend a warm thank you to Principal Jean-Francois Reinert and the teacher of the Saint Exupéry high school.  We had a fantastic day meeting with you and your students!
