Consulate General Strasbourg joined with religious representatives to celebrate Ramadan with an Iftar dinner at the Consul General’s Residence July 7.  Attendees included the President of the Grand Mosque of Strasbourg, the Grand Rabbi of Strasbourg, the President of the Regional Council of Muslim Faith, the Regional Council’s Protestant Pastor in charge of interfaith issues, the Muslim chaplain of Strasbourg, and consuls from Algeria and Tunisia.  During welcoming remarks, Consul General Amy Westling stressed the importance of tolerance and dialogue, the impact of religious pluralism and freedom, as well as contributions of American Muslims to U.S. society.
