Consul Daniel E. Hall

Daniel E. Hall arrived in August 2016 to head the American Presence Post in Bordeaux, the oldest permanent U.S. diplomatic representation. Mr. Hall is a Department of State Foreign Service Officer who completed a one-year assignment at the U.S. Consulate in Basrah, Iraq in June 2016. His previous assignments include service at the U.S. Embassies in Warsaw, Poland; Cotonou, Benin; Moscow, Russia; and the Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs in Washington D.C. (2009-2011)

Prior to joining the Foreign Service in 2004, Mr. Hall served in Poland as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer and trainer; acted as an advisor at USAID Warsaw; and worked in the private sector (2000-2004). He holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from Thunderbird and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Mr. Hall speaks French, Polish, and Russian. He is married with two children.
