Students from De la Salle High School Present their Work on the Roots of African-American Music

On March 20, 2015, the students from De la Salle High School in Rennes presented their work on the roots of African-American music, a year-long project they had developed in their English courses. The students gave thirteen short presentations in English at the Champs Libres cultural center. Their presentations covered the musical genres of hip hop and jazz and the representation of African-Americans in art as well as the civil rights movement and key historical dates.
