
On Thursday, June 12, 2014, the Chargé d’Affaires Mark A. Taplin congratulated participants to the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) who traveled in 2013-2014, at the welcoming reception organized by the Jefferson Circle at the George Marshall Center, in Paris. Approximately a hundred guests were present.
Created in 2011, the Jefferson Circle is an association which aims at maintaining and strengthening relations among French alumni of the IVLP, and at creating a community Franco-American relations specialists. The name of the association is a tribute to a great American man who loved France: Thomas Jefferson.
The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is led by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the Department of State. Each year, participants from all over the world travel to the United States to meet with their American counterparts and to discover the U.S.
