The U.S. Consulate for Western France Supports the U.S. Soccer Team in Lorient

On February 8, Consul Tashawna Bethea and Public Affairs Specialist Eva Prévost attended a France-U.S. Women’s soccer game in Lorient with the General Manager of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Teams, Tim Ryder. Nearly 16,000 people turned out for the sell-out event, which is the first of ten friendly matches for the U.S. team before the Women’s World Cup in Canada next June. For the first time in seventeen French-U.S. matchups, the French Women’s team was victorious, winning 2-0.
