On April 10, 2015, in conjunction with the “Maison de l’Europe” and the World Trade Center (WTC) of Rennes, the U.S. Consulate for Western France organized a debate entitled “TTIP and Business”. Following introductions by WTC President Cécile Vignaud, Maison de l’Europe President Jeanne-Françoise Hutin and Consul Tashawna Bethea, keynote speaker Mitchell Moss gave a presentation on current TTIP negotiations, comparing them with the negotiations that eventually led to the creation of the European Union. He described the economic potential of TTIP once it is put in place and the advantages of such a partnership for all Americans and Europeans. Representatives of Biotrial, Ernst & Young and the “Young European” movement also participated in the panel discussion.
