Important Information Regarding ACS Appointments
The Consulate is open for emergency passport services on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Please email Citizeninfomarseille@state.gov for an appointment.
- Please do not come to the Consulate if you or a family member are sick or if you have been in close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
- Please arrive on time, ensure that all forms are completed fully and that you have all original documents with copies ready to present.
- You should be prepared to pay for your service in cash with exact change for the fee. Our goal is to minimize the time each client spends in our waiting room.
U.S. citizens should visit our Embassy webpage on COVID-19 for information on conditions in France and enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency.
Lost, Stolen or Mutilated Passports (in-person application)
Lost, Stolen or Mutilated Passports
If your passport has been lost, stolen, or mutilated, and you are NOT traveling immediately, the U.S. Consulate General will accept your application for a new passport by online appointment only. Once you submit the complete passport application, it takes approximately 2 to 3 weeks for you to receive your new passport.
If your travel plans are imminent, please schedule an appointment online, or call 01 43 12 47 54 if no appointments are available.
The Consulate is closed for all services on U.S. or French holidays.

I need to Report the Birth Abroad of my Child + First Passport + U.S. Social Security Number (In person)
U.S. Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA)
A child born abroad to a U.S. citizen parent or parents may acquire U.S. citizenship at birth if certain statutory requirements are met. For information on these requirements click here.
By law, the CRBA application must be made before his/her18th birthday
It is the only citizenship document that includes the relationship between the child and the parent(s).
A CRBA, like a U.S. Birth Certificate cannot be used to travel. Thus, we recommended that you apply for your child’s U.S. passport when submitting the application for the CRBA.
Even if your child holds another nationality, he or she must enter and exit the United States on a U.S. passport.
Make your online appointment here.
