The association Youth Ambassadors Alumni organised its second annual reunion on June 26 and 27, 2014, with the support of the U.S. Embassy and the National Agency for Social Cohesion and Equal Opportunities (ACSé).
Approximately 60 participants attended. They were high school and university students, aged 16-24 years-old. They were selected when they were high school students for the Youth Ambassadors exchange program, a two-week trip to the U.S. on community service. As youth ambassadors, they represented France and participated in meetings and debates with associations and youth. They come from different regions of France: Aquitaine, Ile-de-France, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and Rhône-Alpes. Their alumni association was created in October 2012. Its members lead mentoring, social and cultural activities.
Youth Ambassadors alumni aimed at developing their association and their professional opportunities. They visited the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), prepared the future national and regional activities of the association, and organised a career forum at the George Marshall Center in Paris.
